Kindness Is Contagious!
In the second year of Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool Philippines' participation in the Great Kindness Challenge, the school decided to cultivate kindness creatively. Throughout the week, students wore various outfits while engaging in different tasks that showed kindness to everyone.
It also became a vibrant celebration, with everyone wearing different costumes daily. From bright colors to superhero costumes and what they wanted to become when they grew up, and matching outfits with friends to retro outfits, these little ones turned each day into a cheerful adventure.
But it wasn’t just about looking happy—they experienced it! Every day, they did extraordinary things like sharing toys and thoughtful acts that made everyone feel good. They were assigned tasks to spread kindness, such as using nice and encouraging words, sharing their toys with classmates, smiling at everyone they encountered, giving hugs and kisses to their parents, and creating thank-you cards for their loved ones.
The best part? The kindness celebration isn’t fading away. The school is committed to keeping the flame of kindness alive, planning for continuous heartwarming moments each day. This isn’t just a fleeting event; it’s an ongoing commitment to nurturing a culture of kindness that leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of these young learners, their parents, and dedicated teachers. Brace yourselves for an ongoing cascade of smiles and warmth!
Upon completing the week-long challenge, the students ended the celebration by planting seeds and committing to caring for them in the future. They understood that kindness extends to people, plants, and the environment.
